Damita brings a warm, authentic, and compassionate approach to therapy. She aims to create a space where clients feel comfortable and supported as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, goals and values.
Light-hearted by nature, Damita enjoys making therapy feel more approachable, while supporting clients to navigate life’s challenges and make meaningful change.
Her therapeutic orientation is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and additionally draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy (ST). She has pursued additional training in the areas of Trauma Focused ACT and attachment theory.
Damita completed her Bachelor and Honours degrees at the University of Western Australia, and her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney.
Her training included diverse public and private settings, including a cancer service where she supported individuals navigating treatment, remission, and survivorship.
Damita offers support to clients aged 14+ on Mondays and Tuesdays. After hours and telehealth appointments are available.
