BA (Hons), MClinPsych
Lisa is a clinical psychologist who completed both her Honours degree and her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Sydney.
Lisa has over 28 years experience working in the public health sector with children, adolescents, and adults.
Lisa has a particular interest in treating children and adolescents with anxiety disorders including panic disorder, social anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD, and school-based anxiety. She has worked extensively with children and young people with depression, emotional and behavioural challenges, school issues, self-harm, and family conflict. She works closely with parents to support meaningful change for their child and strengthen family relationships.
Lisa is passionate about supporting women in the perinatal period who are experiencing anxiety and depression, birth trauma, adjustment to parenting, identity and relationship changes, impact of childhood trauma on parenting, pregnancy or infant loss, and fertility challenges. She also supports adults who are dealing with stress and adjustment to life transitions, relationship issues, and grief and loss.
Lisa works within a trauma-informed and attachment-based framework. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for lasting change and she strives to create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. She uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), tailoring treatment to each individual.
