Dr Taisia Egorkina is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience supporting adults across a broad range of mental health concerns. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training in psychology in Russia, where she also obtained her PhD. Her doctoral research examined post-traumatic personality development in children and adolescents living in war-affected territories, exploring how exposure to conflict and adversity shapes psychological development and resilience.
Taisia has been practising in Australia since 2018. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related difficulties, adjustment challenges, and interpersonal concerns. She also has a particular interest in neurodivergent presentations, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and supports clients navigating challenges related to emotional regulation, executive functioning, and stress.
Her therapeutic style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. Taisia places strong emphasis on creating a safe and respectful therapeutic space, recognising that a trusting therapeutic relationship is fundamental to meaningful and lasting change.
She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Her approach is tailored to the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each individual.
